Smoldering ashes from a fireplace were put on the wooden deck to cool. End result: Seven units were severely damaged by both fire, and unquestionably, water.
Within a four month period, Minkoff performed comprehensive restorations on three of the units including full kitchen and bath replacements, drywall throughout, all interior finishes and prefab fireplaces. The other four units required drywall repair, extensive cleaning and painting, and floor covering replacements.
Exterior repairs included replacement of 50% of the roof framing, and 100% of the sheathing and shingles. Siding was replaced on the side and rear of this section, and the entire building was painted.
